Mark Gillette Interior
Design Ltd was established in 1994. Mark and his team work from Cheshire offices providing comprehensive design service encompassing interior architecture, interior design, bespoke furniture design and project co-ordination as well as associated sourcing and purchasing artwork and antiques. Past projects are diverse in scale
and location. United Kingdom commissions include the total restoration
and refurbishment of period country houses
in Cheshire, Shropshire, Cumbria and Yorkshire as well as London properties
in Chelsea, St Johns Wood and Kensington. |
Mark favours the use of natural materials such as limestone, oak, silk, wool and suede. Avoiding a signature look he prefers to interpret his clients style to create clean defined interiors where quality materials and attention to detail are priorities. In June 2002 the company was selected to design a room set for the BIDA apartment at the House & Garden fair, Olympia. Recently Marks work has received interest from the national press with projects featured in Homes & Gardens, House & Garden, Country Homes and Interiors and The Daily Telegraph. Mark made his television debut in April 2003 as the featured interior designer of the Home programme for Granada TV. This Autumn sees his work included in a hard back publication on Brunschwig & Fils Style by Mrs Murray-Douglas. Current projects include a new built Georgian style country house in Cheshire. The restoration of an 11 bedroomed Georgian house in North Yorkshire, as well as a commercial project in Austria. |
