CHESHIRE COTTAGE

The brief was to provide a classical relaxed background to a small diverse collection of 18th century furniture and artwork. The client asked for "warm sunny sitting room filled with light and colour". This was achieved by painting the walls a rich yellow in a faux panel effect. It also added a sense of architecture

and formality. The dining room by contrast is small but very atmospheric. Aubergine check battened to the walls gave the space great acoustics for entertaining.A simple blue and white scheme in the bedroom was used around a four poster bed designed by Mark.
